1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F

3. Place a pie crust in the bottom of a pie plate, and use a fork to make several holes in the bottom of the crust
4. Spoon the apple mixture into the crust
5. Dot with butter and position the top crust, cut several small slits in the crust to let it vent
6. Pinch the crusts together at the edge of the plate to keep juice from leaking out, then slice off any unattractive excess

8. Place the pie in oven and bake for 15 minutes
9. Turn oven temperature down to 325 degrees F and bake another 45 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
