Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1½ cup white sugar
2 eggs

Cream together the shortening, sugar, and eggs. Sift together the dry ingredients. Add to the creamed mixture. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and roll in mixture of 2 tablespoon sugar to which you have added 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. You may make an impression on top with the bottom of a pretty glass. Bake on un-greased cookie sheet in 400 degree oven for 8 – 10 minutes.
Juanita Metzger, gave me this recipe when our oldest son, Link, was a baby. She lived across the street from us on Plum Street, in Danville, Illinois. She was also my babysitter for Link when I worked part-time at Montgomery Wards and Larry worked at WDAN Radio. My, how time flies! Our boys always liked these cookies, and they where one of the varieties I made for Christmas. Today, our grandsons love them, too!
