Ingredients:
2 heads garlic, tops removed
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
- Place garlic heads in a small roasting dish and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
- Roast for about 1 1/2 hours or until soft.
- Let cool before squeezing the pulp out.
For the grill:
- Place each garlic head on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap the head loosely.
- Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
- Bring the foil up around the top of the head and twist to close the foil.
- Place on your grill away from direct flame and cook until soft (40 minutes to 1 hour).
- Let cool before squeezing the pulp out.
This roasted garlic is excellent when spread like butter on a slice of grilled, toasted bread.
