Ingredients:
Romain lettuce leaf, chilled
Pear Half, chilled & drained, (1 Tbsp liquid reserved)*
1/4 cup Cottage Cheese, drained
Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 Tbsp cream cheese, room temperature
French dressing
Nuts, chopped (optional)
Directions:
1. Trim lettuce leaf to fit salad plate
2. Place Scoop of Cottage Cheese in center
3. Place pear half, hollow up, on top
4. Stir together cream cheese and pear liquid
5. Spoon cream cheese into pear hollow
6. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese
7. Drizzle French dressing on top
8. Sprinkle with chopped nuts (optional)
Serve while cold
*This recipe uses canned pear halves, but could also accommodate fresh ripened pears.
