Serves 8
Ingredients:
1 orange, supremed and cubed
15 large seedless grapes, halved
15 salted almonds, split
1 banana, diced
1 apple, diced
3 cups white chicken, cooked and diced (I use a rotisserie chicken from the deli at the grocery store, or you can use canned or frozen chicken)
1 cup mayonaise
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients lightly, but thoroughly
2. Chill and serve on a lettuce leaf
I made this recipe up one afternoon in August, 1966. We lived at 613 Plum Street, Danville, Illinois. Larry was working at WDAN Radio as News Director. He called me and said I should submit a “No Cook” recipe for a contest they were doing at the radio station. The judges apparently liked it because they voted it number one! (I didn’t get to have a prize, though)
