8 Slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 cup onion, chopped
Brown these together over medium heat in skillet.
1 (16 ounce) can green beans, drained
1 (16 ounce) can Lima beans, drained
1 (16 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans, do not drain
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup apple cider vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon dry mustard
¼ teaspoon pepper
1. Stir together, pour into baking dish
2. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
This is a real nice change from the usual baked bean recipe. It looks delightful when served, and makes for good conversation at carry-ins, because it is not your ordinary baked beans. Our friend, Kay, made this dish quite often.
